Alison Zhang is a Brooklyn-based New Zealand actor and producer and a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In New Zealand, she performed in new works with Auckland Theatre Company, NZ, including Manatees and Conversations with the Ghosts in My Bedroom, and played Leilan in Mooncake and the Kumara with Seed Theatre, NZ. In New York, she starred in Douglas DuBrin’s Intestinal Pulchritude at the Chain Theatre Festival and toured at IndyFringe, with additional credits in Polaroid Stories, The Tempest, Winter’s Tale, and several short films including Divergent Dreams, Faces Unseen, Bagel, Work Couple. She has stage-managed the immersive dinner-theatre show Cirque Le Swing at the infamous Swing 46 Jazz Club, The Poinciana Woman at The Tank Theatre and assistant-directed the short film Vampire Lovers.
Alison began producing with Mayonnaise Rizadas and Gatorade at La MaMa. As co-founder of Painted Pistachio Productions, she is currently producing The Spinnerets, premiering January 2026 at the Hellenic Cultural Center in Astoria.
